The camera is great in water, taking sharp, colorful pictures. It's also good out-of-water, though like many small cameras it over-saturates the colors and sometimes it's hard to make it focus where you want it to. Also, the zoom is a bit slow for my taste. The videos are good enough for the web, and the stabilization works surprisingly well, eliminating shake. Don't think it'll replace a camcorder for your family videos, though - it's not that kind of camera. Overall I love it - it's small, light, looks great, takes good-quality pictures and videos - what's not to like?
I purchased this camera after my last digital camera fell out of my life jacket & into the river I was kayaking on. I really enjoy this camera because I do not have to worry about it getting wet. I added a camera neck strap so it can not get too far away from me. The picture quality is excellent. The camera is small for my big hands but very sturdy. It is so light that I forget it is around my neck. A perfect camera for someone who enjoys the outdoors & wants a few pictures to remember it by.
